A user-onboarding and activation skill that gets a new signup to their aha moment as fast as possible and seeds the habits that lead to retention. It defines the activation event, maps the post-signup flow, finds drop-off points, and produces a prioritised set of fixes — checklist design, empty states, first-session goals, time-to-value cuts, and progress cues — that a product team can ship in sprints. Use it any time someone says "onboarding flow," "activation rate," "user activation," "first-run experience," "empty states," "onboarding checklist," "aha moment," "users aren't activating," "low activation rate," "users sign up but don't use the product," or "time to value." It runs on four principles (time-to-value is everything, one goal per session, do-don't-show, progress fuels motivation) and a JTBD-style framing of the activation event so the team is optimising for the right outcome.
